Right Thing, Wrong Time is the first track to come from The Mean Times debut album, due for release in mid-2017. It’s the long-awaited follow up to their debut 2014 EP, ‘You’ve Got the Wrong Guys’.

The single was recorded at the end of October with early 90's 'Roxus' legend Andy Shanahan producing, engineering and mixing at Secret Sound and Fuse studios in Melbourne. Right Thing, Wrong Time captures the band's lighter sound trying to contain the fuzzy guitars of their live sound. A quirky little pop number with chugging, sparse verses and a catchy as hell chorus, the song is about all the stuff you've ever dreamed of, coming at the wrong time. Like when you're old and can't enjoy it as much.

With touches of Pavement and flecks of Blur, it's possibly more 90's-sounding than your Great Grandma impersonating Home Improvement's Al Borland.
